Unit for Product Innovation (PI)

With the Partnership with CMTI, a synergistic and complementary existence of both the Institutes would lead in leveraging the joint capabilities in R&D and Education linkages for innovation, product developments, technology assessment in the areas with particular reference to the strength of CMTI in Manufacturing Technology and that of NID in Industrial Design - especially in the strategic use of design (with automobile design and transport design receiving more attention).
