NID's time tested strength and experience in conducting research at the multi-disciplinary level aspires to yield a new guild of "technology-design interface". The primary aim through such research is to create and share new knowledge in this fast growing and increasingly important field.

The R & D Campus at Bangalore will have the following four main Research & Development units:
